Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) course leading to B.Sc. (Applied NS)


Educational Qualifications

Senior School Certificate/ Higher Secondary Examination/ Class XII/ 10+2 from a recognized Board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 65% marks in PCM and 60% aggregate/ Equivalent GCE - UK “A” level/ International Baccalaureate Diploma

OR

B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the year, with an average of not less than 60% marks in the final year, from a recognized University provided that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board : [10+2 PCM > 60%]

OR

B.E./ B.Tech. degree with average of not less than 60% in the final year from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE/ UGC, provided that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board : [10+2 PCM > 60%]

AND

English: Should have obtained not less than 60% marks in English as a separate subject, at either 10th or 12th standard or in the Degree course conducted by a recognized Board/ University

Age Limit: Minimum age should be 17 years and maximum age should not exceed 25 years on the date of commencement of course (Course commences in February and August every year)

Physical and Medical Standards:Physically fit and should meet the medical requirements as specified by DGS guidelines, 6/6 eyesight without visual aids and no colour blindness

IMU CET:Should qualify IMU CET for the respective batch

DNS is a Sponsored Course. Students can apply even before appearing for IMU CET to obtain Company sponsorship.


One Year Pre-Sea Training for Graduate Engineers (GME)


There are 3 batches for the GME course being held each year, in the months of March, July, November. The strength of the March is 40 GME, while the July and November batches has 80 GMEs entry. The total strength is 200 GME in a year. AEMA follows the 8 Months onshore followed by 4 Months onboard training as Engine Cadet to complete the required 12 months GME training Program.


Educational Qualifications

Minimum 60% in 12th PCM or Diploma aggregate followed by B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Naval Architecture" after attending a course of 4 years duration from I.I.T. or from college recognized by AICTE/UGC. with minimum (60% aggregate & 60% final year) of B.Tech. marks.

Electro Training Officer


Electro Technical Officers (ETO) course for 4 months duration followed by 8 months on board training.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum 60% in 12th PCM or Diploma aggregate followed by B.E./ B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering after attending a course of 4 years duration from I.I.T. or from college recognized by AICTE/UGC. with minimum (60% aggregate & 60% final year) of B.Tech. marks.

Note: Passed 10+2 with PCM. This requirement does not apply to candidates admitted as a lateral entry to 2nd year of B.E./B. Tech degree course after the Diploma

AND
